FELA 2006

Published in Volume 9, June ’06 of the South African based magazine “Chimurenga” these drawings are influenced by two articles of interviews with the pioneer of Afrobeat and human rights activist, Fela Anikulapo Kuti.  “Fela Sleeping” depicts the hours of waiting experienced by many people who have traveled from far distances to meet and speak with the musician.
